Fun fact: Thanks to their unpredictable nature, Aquarians are known to be the weirdos of the zodiac

If intellectuality and creativity had a lovechild, Aquarius would be the result. Not only do Aquarians possess the intelligence to be successful, they also have the creativity to help them think outside of the box. Often seen as visionaries, Aquarians are way ahead of their time. They have a knack for being curious and are always eager to find innovative solutions for problems (even for those that haven’t happened yet).

Not one to follow the crowd, Aquarians are free-thinkers and some can even say they are revolutionary. Humanitarians by nature, Aquarians are passionate for causes they believe in and don’t hesitate to show kindness to people, animals and the environment. Aquarians hate small talk and if the topic of conversation bores them, they will most likely tune out. This can often make them appear cold and aloof.

If you’re looking for a fair argument, don’t bother trying to argue with an Aquarian – they’ll hear what you have to say, but will only truly listen if they believe you bring something to the table. It’s not that they don’t care; they just put logic before everything else and if your case sounds senseless, they will be quick to dismiss your opinion. Also, it’s best to save your complaining for another sign, as Aquarians won’t understand why you don’t just solve your issue rationally instead of crying over it. Aquarians tend to focus on the bigger picture, so it may take a couple of tries to convince them to see it from your point of view.

Here’s a tip – leave the negativity at home when you hang out with your favourite Aquarian. Those born under this sign are typically optimists and prefer to focus on positives rather than negatives. Bringing their mood down may actually annoy them and their comments can come across as insensitive or detached. Speaking of detachment, Aquarians are very good at emotionally distancing themselves from situations and people. Although they are usually easygoing and sociable, their intellectual approach to relationships means they don’t get too emotionally invested in people. There are, of course, exceptions to this, and Aquarians will wear their heart on their sleeves for the ones they love.

Spotting a Aquarius

How to spot the Aquarius woman:

Independent and free-spirited, the Aquarian woman is fascinating and never dull. She’s a traveller, a great conversationalist, and thrives on discussions about intellectual and worldly topics. Her friendly and easygoing nature attracts many people to her, however, she tends to only choose to keep a handful of friends close to her. The eccentric Aquarian woman is known to be unpredictable; often finding herself in spontaneous and unplanned situations. She has an air of quirkiness to her and her creativity shines through in the way she presents herself.

How to spot the Aquarius man:

Charming, smart and a bit of an oddball, the Aquarian man stands out from the crowd thanks to his progressive ideas and geeky-but-cool personality. He may appear much wiser than his years and his conversations provide a lot of food for thought – you can’t help but be curious about what this guy has to say. Oftentimes, the Aquarian man may be perceived as arrogant and cocky, especially when he assumes he is right and makes comments that can border on condescending. Being emotionally distant is also a dead giveaway of an Aquarian man – he’s great at communicating ideas but not so much his emotions.
